I added an ideal upstroke/downstroke pattern per each note or "phrase" that makes the entire sequence
of notes
in the riff flow beautifully and efficiently. Note: The up/down stroke method is entirely a personal
preference.
However, sometimes an upstroke is just meant to be an upstroke.
Try playing the E|-0-| panic chord without the upstroke like Tim does, it really makes that chord
"scream".

There are many, many different versions of the In Regards to Myself intro riff tab,
amongst dozens of guitar cover/tutorial videos on youtube playing and teaching the riff...wrong.
I watched the Alternative Press' video with Tim McTague giving a close up tutorial of how he actually
plays
the intro riff to In Regards. I am posting a link to the youtube video of Tim giving a quick tutorial
on how
to play it, and I would advise anyone wanting to learn this quickly to watch Tim's (short)
In Regards intro riff lesson. You really get a feel for the time signatures and the pulse of the riff
watching Tim play it with the correct tablature pulled up next to it. I've never created a tab until
this one,
and I probably won't make one again. This was a great opportunity to correct every video or tab I had
ever
watched or seen. I haven't seen too many songs/riffs where there was not one single correct tutorial
or tab
available. Here is one less. Cheers.
