Dutch progressive metal band The Gathering has announced additional tour dates in 2026 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album Mandylion. The expanded tour includes performances in Greece and Chile, following the initial two shows held in Nijmegen, Netherlands, in August 2025. The full lineup of dates includes September 24 at Moni Lazariston in Thessaloniki, Greece; September 26 at the Amphitheater of Lycabettus in Athens, Greece; and October 17 at Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile.

The concerts will honor the legacy of the band's classic lineup, which featured Hans Rutten, René Rutten, Hugo Prinsen Geerligs, Jelmer Wiersma, Frank Boeijen, and Anneke van Giersbergen. The band has also confirmed that the original 2025 show schedule was expanded from two to five dates at Doornroosje. In a separate announcement, vocalist Silje Wergeland has confirmed her departure from the band on December 28, 2025, after 16 years with the group.

The band issued a statement expressing gratitude for her contributions and honoring the albums created together, including The West Pole and Beautiful Distortion. They emphasized their appreciation for her role as a vocalist and a friend, and confirmed that they will continue without her in future performances. The Gathering remains active, with the 2026 tour marking a significant milestone in their ongoing legacy.
