Slayer, the legendary thrash metal band, has officially announced their new album titled 'A New World,' set for release on April 12, 2024.

The announcement was made via the band's official website and social media channels, confirming the album will be released through the band's own label, Slayer Records, with distribution handled by Warner Music Group.

The new record follows a 15-year hiatus after the 2009 release of 'A New World,' and marks the band's first studio album since 2006's 'The Final Countdown.' It will feature 12 tracks, including the title track 'A New World,' which was previewed in a recent acoustic demo posted on the band's YouTube channel.

In a statement released on March 20, 2024, guitarist Kerry King said, "We've been working on this album for years.

It's a return to our roots — raw, aggressive, and unapologetic.

This is not just a record; it's a statement." The album will be available in multiple formats, including standard CD, vinyl, and digital download.

A limited edition vinyl will feature a custom cover art designed by longtime fan and artist Dan O'Donnell.

The band has not yet confirmed a tour to support the release, though they have stated that live dates may follow in the coming months.

Slayer will continue to perform select shows throughout 2024, including a special reunion show at the Download Festival in July, where they will play a full set of tracks from 'A New World' and their classic discography."
