Canadian rock legends Rush have been forced to postpone their June 30 and July 2 shows at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas after bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis.
The two postponed concerts were originally scheduled for June 24 but had to be rescheduled due to "travel and border-related delays" that disrupted Rush's touring production.
In a statement released via social media on Tuesday, Rush expressed their disappointment over the postponement and apologized to fans who have made travel plans.
They explained that Geddy Lee has been advised by his doctors to take additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage, which is not possible at this time.
The band is grateful for everyone's understanding and looks forward to celebrating with fans on the rescheduled dates of July 11 and July 13.
Rush had previously performed two successful shows in North Texas as part of their "Fifty Something" tour, which celebrates late drummer Neil Peart's life and legacy.
The tour continues across Canada, USA, and Mexico, with over half a million tickets sold for 2026."
