The new lineup of Nevermore has canceled its previously announced appearance at this year's ProgPower USA XXV festival, set to take place September 9-12, 2026 at Center Stage Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.
A message was posted on social media earlier today stating the band's reasons for canceling: "We hear your requests for a U.S.
tour loud and clear, and we want it to happen just as much as you do.
The reason it hasn't yet is simple — getting the work permit for our singer is taking much longer than anticipated." The statement apologized for any disappointment caused by their absence from ProgPower USA XXV.
They expressed gratitude for understanding from Glenn and the festival crew, and promised that new music would be forthcoming.
Nevermore's first live appearance will take place on April 1, 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey, featuring their revamped lineup with guitarist Jack Cattoi and bassist Semir Ă–zerkan alongside guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams.
New vocalist Berzan Ă–nen completes the new formation.
The band's history includes an extraordinary lineage of musicians who shaped its evolution.
Guitarists Pat O'Brien, Tim Calvert, Steve Smyth and Chris Broderick each left a distinct imprint on the band's catalog and live presence.
Nevermore effectively split up in 2011 when Loomis and Williams announced their departure from the band due to personal differences with former vocalist Warrel Dane.
Dane passed away in December 2017 due to health issues, and his legacy continues to inspire musicians worldwide.
