Croatian metal band Manntra has released their new studio album, Wild Hunt, on December 25 via Napalm Records. The album marks the band's most atmospheric and focused work to date, following their acclaimed previous release Titans. It features a blend of heavy metal riffs, industrial elements, traditional Balkan and Slavic melodies, and ritualistic vocals, exploring themes of humanity's repetitive cycles and the belief in a watching presence.
The title track "Wild Hunt" features Fabienne Erni of Eluveitie, while "Name The Liar" includes In Extremo and "Zara" features Ambre Vourvahis of Xandria. Traditional vocals from MetaKlapa enhance the Croatian-language track "Valovi", and songs such as "Banshee", "Danse Macabre", and "Blade In Darkness" delve into darker sonic territories. The album also includes a live recording from Wacken 2026, available on the 2CD Digipak edition.
Wild Hunt is available in multiple formats, including a limited deluxe 1LP cross white-black marbled/red vinyl with a booklet, a solid fuchsia vinyl with lyricsheet, a 2CD digipak with live CD, and digital download. Pre-orders are available through Napalm Records. Manntra will also perform a tour, with full itinerary available on their official website.
Marko Matijević Sekul, the band's mastermind, handles vocals, synth, guitar, and pipes, with Andrea Kert on drums, Zoltan Lečei on bass, Zlatko Štefančić on guitar and mandolin, and Dorian Pavlović on guitar and acoustic guitar. The band continues to expand their musical boundaries, merging folk, metal, industrial and traditional sounds into a distinctive sonic world. hr/tour/.
