In a recent interview with Sky News Australia host Paul Murray for his upcoming documentary 'Trump's America: 250 Years In The Making', Kid Rock opened up about his friendship with U.S.

President Donald Trump.

Despite facing criticism from some quarters, the country-rocker remains vocal in his support for Trump and has publicly performed at Republican-affiliated events.

When asked what it's like "having a buddy who's running the world", Kid Rock replied: 'Fucking awesome.' In the interview, he elaborated on their phone conversations, recalling that Trump would often call him to simply chat, saying: 'It kills me, the people that don't see that.

They want this level of bullshit we've had for — since I've been alive, with these politicians, presidents.

He's a businessman, he's smart.

And his heart and soul is for this country – period.' This past February, Kid Rock headlined 'The All-American Halftime Show', a counterprogrammed event run by conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA during the Super Bowl halftime show stage.

His music has also been used to support Trump, with Kid Rock changing the lyrics of his track 'American Bad Ass' at the Republican National Convention in July 2024.

Other musicians who have publicly backed Trump include Ted Nugent and STAIND's Aaron Lewis.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN's John Dolmayan has also expressed his support for the president.
