British industrial metal pioneers GODFLESH have announced the release of their tenth and penultimate album, "Decay", on September 25 via Relapse Records. The album's opening track, "Master And Slave", is now available for streaming. This marks the final major release in the band's long-running career, which began in 1983 and saw a significant impact on the industrial metal scene with albums like "Streetcleaner", "Pure", and "Hymns".

After a nine-year hiatus, GODFLESH returned with the "Decline & Fall" EP, followed by the records "A World Lit Only By Fire" and "Post Self". The new album was recorded during the same sessions as the 2023 release "Purge", with six tracks selected for inclusion. The recordings were completed before mastermind Justin Broadrick underwent major abdominal surgery in early 2024.

Although some vocal sessions were conducted during the recovery period, the album was mixed post-surgery. Broadrick confirmed that the physical pain from the hernia, which developed during frequent GODFLESH performances, directly influenced the album's creation. He stated that GODFLESH has now become physically impossible for him to perform, and the band is effectively concluding its active tenure.

The album is set to be released on September 25, 2026. The tracklist includes: Master And Slave, Living/Ending, Feral Colony, Fear Of Man, Fodder, and Consume Me. This release concludes a legacy defined by sonic intensity and artistic self-expression.
