Former QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate spoke about the status of his long-in-the-works autobiography in a new interview with Laughing Monkey With Shawn Ratches.
He revealed that he has finished writing the book, but is unsure if it will be released due to concerns from his lawyer that it may be too litigious.
Tate explained that he keeps extensive notes on his life and career, which has made the writing process both a blessing and a curse.
In discussing the book's contents, Tate said that every chapter needs to be in-depth, but also acknowledged that books can take years to write, unlike songs which can be completed in just one month.
Tate has previously discussed his autobiography in interviews with Keysmash magazine in fall 2022 and Sonic Perspectives in March 2021.
In the latter interview, he said that he had "a lot of stuff written already" for his autobiography and that it was a journal writer's process that helped him keep track of his life story.
The autobiography is not being released under the QUEENSRŸCHE banner, despite Tate's involvement with the band in its third chapter, "Operation: Mindcrime III".
The album was made available on May 3.
