Legendary singer Gary John Barden will release his new studio album, "Empowered Emotions", on September 18, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.

The album marks the culmination of a creative partnership between Barden and German producer Michael Voss, with whom he previously worked in the band Silver.

Together, they crafted a record rooted in classic melodic hard rock, driven by strong riffs, memorable choruses, and a timeless European approach to songwriting.

The album features an impressive roster of guest musicians, including Michael Schenker on lead guitar for the epic "Dark Water" track, Brian Tichy on drums, Barry Sparks on bass, Tommy Denander on lead guitar, and Don Airey on keyboards.

"Empowered Emotions" is a cohesive, melodic, and powerful statement that celebrates classic hard rock values without sounding nostalgic.

The album includes the urgent and biting lead single "Hit The Ground Running", powered by a driving riff inspired by the George Lynch school of hard rock.

Additional highlights include the atmospheric title track "Empowered Emotions" and the dramatic centerpiece "Dark Water".

To celebrate the announcement, Barden has shared the first single and official video for "Hit The Ground Running".

Gary commented: "'Hit The Ground Running' perfectly captures the energy and spirit of this album.

The song started with Michael's driving riff, and from there it took on a life of its own." Barden added about the LP as a whole: "Empowered Emotions" is a very special record for both Michael Voss and me.

This album marks 25 years of writing, creating, and sharing music together, and every song carries its own story and meaning." The track listing includes "Barden's Overture", "Maasai Enkai", "Hit The Ground Running", "Empowered Emotions", "Burning Wind", "Dark Water", "Ride Horsemen Ride", "This Phoenix's Gonna Burn Ya", "Let The Children Play", and "We'll Meet Again".

Gary John Barden will be joined by drummer Gereon Homann and guitarist Michael Voss on this tour, with additional dates and lineups to be announced.

The album is set for release on September 18, 2026.
