AVENGED SEVENFOLD's alter ego project STATICA has released the official music video for the song "Statica." Directed by Lance Drake, the clip was shot on location in Northridge, California.
The track is taken from the band's four-song EP, which was surprise released a week ago and features the tracks "Lights," "Statica," "Rejoice," and "Ashes." The EP has a running time of 18 minutes and 7 seconds and marks a musical evolution for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, incorporating robotic vocals, sci-fi synths, and electronic dance beats.
The "Statica" EP follows up AVENGED SEVENFOLD's 2023 album "Life Is But A Dream..." and the standalone single "Magic," which was released in December as part of Black Ops 7 Season 1's biggest seasonal content drop in "Call of Duty" history.
The band has yet to publicly comment on the release, which was made available fully independently, continuing its ambition of self-directed creative output.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD and GOOD CHARLOTTE have also joined for a North American tour promoted by Live Nation.
The 16-city trek began July 25 in Ridgedale, Missouri, with additional stops in Shakopee, Chicago, St.
Louis, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, and more, concluding August 27 at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
Last September, AVENGED SEVENFOLD postponed its fall 2025 Latin American tour due to M.
Shadows's vocal injury.
The band had been scheduled to kick off the tour on September 25, 2025, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but ultimately canceled it after M.
Shadows was diagnosed with vocal fold hematoma—a condition where a blood vessel in the vocal cord ruptures and leaks blood under the lining of the vocal cord."
